Our Leadership

Andre King, President and CEO

Andre brings over 14 years of professional experience working in the human services field to our firm. Through his strategic counsel and agenda-setting outreach, he has created real change for communities by empowering average citizens and local community organizations to get involved in political issues that impact their quality of life.

As President and CEO of GDK Associates, Andre drives the direction of the company and oversees its operations. He is charged with aligning GDK Associates with new opportunities and aggressively tackling the emerging issues in our communities.

Early in his professional life, Andre was instrumental in organizing neighborhood meetings and community-based education initiatives around social justice issues, such as leading bus drives throughout NYC to get concerned citizens to participate in public hearings and directing several voter registration drives in underrepresented minorities.

Andre’s career later intensified as a substance abuse counselor in New York serving dual diagnosed adolescents in a privately owned residential treatment facility. As a member of the treatment team, Andre worked along side other healthcare professionals to develop and administer plans for the healing of young clients. Andre’s work required partnerships and interaction with government agencies representing DFACS, Medicaid, the judicial system, law enforcement, attorneys, probation officers and public agencies in several Northeastern states.

He has played an active role in the mentoring and counseling of young adults since the beginning of his career. Considering himself a “political junkie,” Andre has proactively championed community involvement and activism in political issues impacting underrepresented communities. His educational background focuses on the areas of teaching and substance abuse counseling.

Andre has been a member of a number of professional associations throughout his career, including Vice President of Coalition for Blacks in Action in Albany, NY; and a member of the Henry County NAACP in Ellenwood, GA.
